The surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and usually takes 2 hours per implant. Your surgeon will make a small incision either in the mouth or under the lower eye. You may experience some swelling around the area which is natural given the nature of the surgery, this should dissipate within 2-3 weeks.

It depends on the surgery, this can be discussed at your consultation.

Q: Is it going to affect my speech?

No, the surgery shouldn’t affect your speech, however you may have some swelling which may cause some discomfort when speaking.
